Hi! I'm DeNeane Osmond and I am a Character Designer and Illustrator based in Calgary, Canada. The pursuit of joy is something that I strive for in my life and in my artwork. The content I produce is playful and so is my practice. While I generally focus on graphite drawing and digital artwork, I also take the time to experiment with a variety of materials to keep things fresh and expand my skillset. The nature of my work is family oriented with emphasis on charming, if sometimes unusual, characters. Childlike wonder is a valuable gift that I seek to share with the world as it is something that appeals to the kid in all of us, who yearns for a time when things were simpler. Storytelling and imagination will always feature in my art and my curiosity about the world leads me to embrace a diverse array of cultures and people that have the grace to broaden my mind. The animal world is of particular interest to me and is featured quite prominently in my portfolio. In closing, I hope that you have as much fun viewing my artwork as I do creating it.
